We will be offering a wide variety of new classes and programs for the 2011 camp season! All programs are held on beautiful Concordia College Campus in Bronxville, NY! The following programs will be offered:
Musical Adventures Mini-Camp, June 13 - 24, is for little campers, 3-5 years old. This dynamic program is held in the spacious and historic Concordia Conservatory. The campers will love the interactive music, art, and story-telling activities as well as indoor and outdoor play!
The Early Childhood Enrichment Program, is for campers 3-5 years old. This program offers a variety of fun and creative learning experiences with music, art, science and literacy, all following an imaginative theme. Children love the sprinkler fun, which is part of the outdoor play! All activities are held at the beautiful Concordia Conservatory.
Art at Concordia, This exciting addition to our 2011 camp season is sponsored by Art at Concordia, which is affiliated with Concordia’s highly acclaimed OSilas Art Gallery. Campers will be taught by professional art teachers, offering classes in oil painting and ceramics. Campers are given individualized instruction within a small group setting, allowing them to work at their own level and pace. All art materials are included in the price of the classes, which are held in the beautiful new Concordia Art Studio.
The Early Childhood Sports Camp, is for campers 3 1/2 - 5 years old. Young campers have a great time as they develop thier gross motor skills playing t-ball, soccer, basketball, parachute games, scooter games, relay races and much more! They are well-supervised (5:1 camper to counselor ratio) in the enclosed environments of Concordia's gymnasiums and athletic fields. An optional recreational swim program is available.
Afternoon Sports Camp for grades 1-9, focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, specific skills, and strategy for several team and recreational sports. Some of the activities include soccer, basketball, baseball/softball, team handball, floor hockey and tennis. Coaching for specific skill instruction is provided for soccer, basketball and tennis. Campers are well-supervised (8:1 camper to counselor ratio) in the enclosed environments of Concordia's gymnasiums and athletic fields. An optional recreational swim program is availble.
Morning Enrichment Camp, gives campers, grades 1-9, a variety of stimulating and challenging classes to enjoy such as: Lego Robotics, video game production, cartooning, art, print-making, silver-smithing, fused glass design, journalism, cooking, travel, science, crafts, computers and much more! All classes are held in college classrooms and taught by teachers.
The Concordia Conservatory, encourages children ages 3 to 18 years old to enhance their musical interests through Musical Adventures, Musical Theatre Workshop, Piano, Guitar Jam Camp, Chamber Music, Vocal Arts and the Conservatory Summer Academy Camps. We also offer Conga! early childhood music classes for ages 11 months - 3 1/2 years old and private instruction in all instruments for all ages. All programs are taught by professional music teachers.
Day Trip Adventures Camp, is for campers grades 2-8. This exciting program will explore fun and educational venues in the metropolitan area! Some of the places we will experience are: The Hudson River Clearwater Sloop, The Yankee Stadium, The Queens Science Center, The Science Barge, The Beczak Nature Center, Sportime USA and more! Campers will be well supervised from 9:00am-4:00pm; transportation and admissions are included in the cost! For more info. call: 914-395-4848.
