NEW Offer for Early Childhood - You've asked for it for years and we are happy to announce that this year we are offering an EARLY CHILDHOOD SPORTS PROGRAM IN THE MORNING.  The program will have the same elements as the afternoon Sports Program but will be held from 9am till noon.  PLEASE NOTE:  the afternoon EARLY CHILDHOOD SPORTS PROGRAM is offered as well which gives you 3 choices.

Program Focus:  This exciting and challenging program was designed to promote enthusiam for physical activity through active play, team sports and sport-specific instructions while enhancing physiological development, motor skill development and growth.

Program Structure:  Campers are divided by age into small groups (approximately 8 children) under the supervision of qualified counselors. Time is set aside each day for rest, snacks, drinks and bathroom breaks.

Bowling: All Sports Camp participants will go bumper bowling at least once during each three-week session to Homefield Bowl in Yonkers.

Lunch is provided in the College cafeteria, where the campers will eat with their counselors. Meals include: pizza, chicken, hamburgers, macaroni & cheese, tacos, hot dogs, cream cheese & jelly sandwiches (peanut butter is no longer served) or American cheese sandwiches. A fresh salad bar is always available, along with fruit and beverages. A mid-afternoon snack of juice & sunchips, goldfish, ice pops, pretzels or cookies is also provided. A menu calendar will be sent home.

All activities are facilitated and supervised by qualified/trained counselors (aged 18-25). Counselors-in-Training (CIT’s aged 15-17) assist each
counselor with the group.

  • Children will be grouped by their birthdays, not by the grade they will be entering in September.
  • Children must have completed one year of nursery school, must have reached the age of 3 on or before December 31, 2011.
  • Children must be completely toilet-trained.
  • Activities take place in the College's gymnasiums and athletic fields with alternating indoor and outdoor activities.
